Krakow, Poland was top of the list for my 60th birthday celebration. The medieval city of Lviv, a short train journey across the border into Ukraine, was soon added on. And of course Kiev, Ukraine’s beautiful capital city just couldn’t be missed.

It was early December 2021 when, together with our friends Anne and Pete, we visited the three cities.
