An early evening flight from Chania, Crete took us to Athens, where after an almost three hour wait we boarded our next flight to Budapest.
It was just a two hour journey to the Hungarian capital. A taxi took us the 15 kilometre to our hotel on the Pest side of the city and it was just before 1am when we arrived at our chosen accommodation, the City Inn Hotel.
Our room appeared to have everything we would need and we set our alarm clock for an early start the following day. We are here for just three days and we want to see as much as possible.
